The book

Ernie W. Webb III’s debut book, “Goodbye, Butterfly: Murder, faith and forgiveness in a small Kansas town,” was released on Sept. 17. The first print of the book sold out on the release date. The second print of the book is available at Indie Pubs. My preference is that you order the book at Indie Pubs, but there are some available on Amazon.

Goodbye, Butterfly

A true story of murder, faith and forgiveness in a small Kansas town.

The beloved 12-year-old daughter of the town pastor in tiny Dover, Kansas, Brenda Michelle Keller was pretty, smart and kind. She loved God, family, friends, animals, nature and riding her bike. That all changed on Oct. 19, 1991, when she was abducted, raped and murdered by a man who should have been behind bars. Her grisly death stunned the quintessential small town in Kansas and robbed a community of its innocence. Her family relied on faith to overcome the overwhelming sadness and despair, ultimately living rich, rewarding lives to honor God and their “Strawberry.” “Goodbye, Butterfly” is already a hot new release and bestseller at Amazon!

What'S NEXT ...

The Old Man

My father’s legacy: Redemption, wisdom, hard work, love and hilarious one-liners.

My dad, or as we called him “The Old Man,” was not supposed to be a success story. He grew up in near-poverty, became a prolific cat burglar and spent more than 10 years in boys’ homes, jails and prisons. But he finally settled down in his late 20s, building a legacy that included his sons, grandchildren and daughters-in-law, and a successful leathercrafting business. That legacy included references to Sanford & Son (YOU BIG DUMMY), wisdom such as “there’s an ass for every seat” and countless lessons that have served his boys well. Ernie W. Webb III’s next project will be a light-hearted profile of his late father and the knowledge he passed on to his family.
